The Green Bedroom

Our clients moved into their beautifully renovated midcentury home and called us right away. They craved a peaceful, calm overhaul of their primary bedroom, a space that was doing double duty with their bed and their newborn’s bassinet.

We honed in on a color concept (the moodiest green we could find) and color-drenched the space. We found the vintage rug, velvet drapery panels, and bedside tables on Facebook Marketplace. We used their existing bedframe, gussied up with a bed skirt and new-to-them bedding.

My favorite find of the project is the dark red lamps. We found the bases at a hotel liquidation sale for literally $10 each and added the cutest new shades.

The most ambitious part of the project, however, was our tallest gallery wall to date. (I had to buy a new ladder.) I loved their collection: some heirloom pieces, art from their travels, and a few vintage finds sourced by KKI to fill in the gaps.

Now the hardest-working room in the house finally feels like a place to rest.
