Pink & Leather

Our clients, a young couple with little kids, are the keepers of a historic Victorian, bringing their playful style to it one room at a time.

Their front door opens straight into the parlor, which flows into the dining room and beyond. The parlor was going unused and the dining room wasn’t earning the view. They wanted a wow.

They loved the idea of a wallpapered dining room ceiling, and so did we. When we pitched an Anthropologie wallpaper and coordinating Dash & Albert rug, both found on Facebook Marketplace, the color scheme was set in motion. We finished the dining room with a gallery wall of their own art (kids’ abstracts included), a vibey preloved chandelier, and a marble tulip table, then layered the parlor with preloved leather seating, vintage lighting and tables, and two eye-catching originals: their Mardi Gras piece and the cowboy we found together.

Now the front door opens onto the whole show: a parlor made for lingering and that ceiling just beyond. We hope every guest looks up.
